Vaishnavi and Nivedita Ganesh
Vaishnavi and Nivedita Ganesh
Kushara Amandakone (Yr3) and sisters Vaishnavi (Yr6) and Nivedita Ganesh (Yr4), all very talented students of Indian classical dance, recently appeared on the BBC children’s channel CBeebies. The programme, ‘Boogie Beebies’, encourages children to watch and join in with all the dances and to make up dances by themselves.
Sparkling in authentic Indian dress, the girls mesmerized viewers with their bewitching versions of a traditional Indian dance.

The Ganesh sisters both belong to the Upasana School of Dance and Arts run by their mother, Mrs Deepa Ganesh, a familiar face in the
Prep Department. The sisters are also performing in the first ever
Indian dance theatre at The Waterside Arts Centre in Sale on 8 February.
As well as being incredible dancers, Vaishnavi (Yr 6) and Nivedita (Yr 4) are avid public speakers (members of the Gavel Club of Toastmaster fame) and were interviewed live on Sky Channel’s ‘Happy Hours’.
