Making the MHSG DVD
[printer-friendly page] [printer-friendly page]

Autumn term saw the completion of our new promotional DVD, which showcases all aspects of the School and offers an in-depth look at life at MHSG.

Staff and students soon became immune to a camera and microphone being pushed in front of their noses. From the Choir and the new Sports Complex, to our Suffragette heritage and Preparatory Department, the film crew spent three days in School across two terms.

Everything from the facilities and classes, to the activities, was captured on film, as well as interviews with parents, pupils, old girls and the Head Mistress. As three days of footage became condensed into an eight minute DVD, some of us had our first experience of ‘the cutting room floor’!

The DVD has now been previewed by the entire School and every girl has been given her very own copy. It will also be sent out to prospective parents who are interested in sending their daughters to Manchester High.
