School Raises Funds for Sports Complex

Contributions large and small have been coming in to help raise funds for Manchester High's spectacular new Sports Complex.  This year so far we have raised over ?96,000!

PARENTS AND DONORS have been reserving leaves on the MHSG Donor Tree which is situated in the entrance to the Sports Hall.  Donor trees are a popular means of making gifts in the USA and give donors the chance to record the name of a chosen person and ours is already proving very popular.  If you would like to make a donation to the School and have a name recorded on the tree, please contact Mrs Beverley Rubin in the Development Department for further details.

Ivy Leaf Sponsorshp

Donations between £1000 - £4000 will have specially made and engraved Ivy Leaves on our Donor Tree.

Donor Tree Leaves

All donations of £100 and above will be commemorated with a name of the donor?s choice engraved on a leaf of the Donor Tree.

MATHS teacher Mr Nick Tattersall provided a lunchtime car wash service for staff over the period of a week and persuaded students in his form (J6NT) to help in the fundraising effort.

LANGUAGE TEACHER, Miss Sarah Davies, who is also a former student, has become something of an international marathon runner.  Featured in a previous High Flyer for her success in the Vienna City Marathon, she has taken part in several runs since and this November will be taking part in the New York Marathon.  She'll be running for charity (MS), but is also inviting current and former MHSG pupils especially to sponsor her in aid of the new Sports Complex.  For further details please contact Miss Davies at school via Mrs Beverley Rubin in the Development Department.

If you would like to make a gift towards the sports complex or to find out more about sponsorship opportunities, please contact the Head Mistress or Mrs Beverley Rubin in the Development Department.

If you would like to make a gift to the School Bursary Fund, please also contact Mrs Rubin.
