Sports Day And Night
[printer-friendly page] [printer-friendly page]

Years 7 to 9 managed to escape the summer showers as they headed to The Manchester Grammar School for the MHSG Sports Day. With their brightly-coloured banners and painted faces the girls were keen to show their sporting prowess. It was a closely contested competition, especially for Year 8 where only three points separated the top three forms. All girls did fantastically well and 12 new Sports Day records were set in the history books!

The ninth annual Sports Dinner took place at school at the end of the summer term. It was an opportunity to reward the hard work and dedication of the girls who have represented the school sports teams throughout the year. Colours were awarded and certificates were presented as commendations. Head Mistress, Mrs Hewitt, presented the ‘Most Improved’ and ‘Best Player’ in each of the sports categories.
