About Manchester High School for Girls Manchester High School for Girls is one of the country's leading girls' schools. With just under 1000 pupils, we are able to offer superb facilities and excellent teaching in a wide number of subjects. Our extensive range of academic and extra curricular subjects provides a wealth of opportunities from which your daughter can benefit and our excellent pastoral care system ensures she has support and information when making decisions. We believe happy pupils learn and achieve their full potential. Every girl, from the age of four in the Preparatory Department through to the Sixth Form and beyond, enjoys being with staff who are skilled teachers and who care about every individual.
The School's broad and challenging curriculum leads to outstanding examination results: in 2007, 96% of all grades at Advanced Level were A or B, confirming the school's position as one of the country's leading schools. At GCSE 84% of all passes were at A* or A.
Your daughter's future is important to you and important to us. We have a commitment to provide excellent teaching and a secure and happy environment for every pupil.
"Manchester High School for Girls has much to offer Daisy, and Daisy has plenty to give in return. Our daughter has one childhood, a period in time that can never be recaptured, and one opportunity to be enthused, shaped and developed by her school years. This time in her life is too precious to leave to chance and as parents we firmly believe that we could not make a wiser investment on her behalf."
